Anna Jean Turner

March 8, 1932 — July 4, 2021

Anna Jean Turner, age 89, passed away on July 4, 2021, at her home located in Heber City, Utah. She was born on March 8, 1932, in Heber City, Utah to John M. Turner and Annie Marie Willmore.
Anna Jean had a zest for life. She loved ballroom dancing, especially the Viennese Waltz. She competed professionally for many years, taking home a multitude of awards. Also, at the age of 75, Anna Jean completed her first half-marathon in Provo Canyon, and took home gold medals for the Senior Olympic games. She took great pride in her garden and was often found in her pumpkin patch harvesting pumpkins for local children and friends. Her family, friends and many in the community were always delighted to get a card or a letter, as Anna Jean was a prolific writer. She was even published in the the Wasatch Wave, as well as winning a national poetry competition. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Provo Temple, which gave her great peace and comfort. While she enjoyed so many aspects of her community, her greatest joy was her family. She loved being able to spend time with her grand-children and great-grandchildren, all of whom have immense admiration and love for her. She will be greatly missed.
A graveside service in Anna Jean’s honor will take place on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 2:45 PM at Heber City Cemetery, 680 N 550 E, Heber City, UT 84032.
