Anna left this earthly life on June 30, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born on July 17, 1933 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Alfonso Cruz and Mildred Tokie Saito. She met her lifelong companion at a dance on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay during the Korean conflict. She married Curtis F. Crook on January 16, 1953, in San Francisco, California. They made their home in Heber City and raised 5 beautiful children.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. One of her favorite callings was working with the Cub Scouts. Anna had a big heart, an infectious smile, and a distinctive voice that once you heard it, you didn’t forget it. She loved people. One of her many talents was making friends. This made her a wonderful waitress. She also was a business partner in the Hylander Restaurant for several years. She shared her great sense of style by sewing for her family. She spent many hours making sure they looked their best. She also shared this talent with the youth through the 4-H program. Her cooking was something she loved to share also. Meal planning always started with dessert first.
She is survived by her five children, Patricia Ann Cordero, Jeffery Curtis, Chet Allen (Lori), Stan Chase, Andrea Petersen (Jeff). 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren with one on the way. One sister, Theresa Burke, NJ and one brother, Pete Cruz, Guatemala. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, 1 sister, 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter.
