Angelika S. Johnson, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away quietly in her home Monday morning Feb. 18th at 91 years of age. She was born in Ravensburg, Germany, on Sept. 27,1927 to Sebastian and Maria Eggar Schlumpberger. Her death is preceded by her husband Eldred
Johnson of Osakis, MN. They were married July 19, 1953 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
As a child she worked on local farms in Germany. When she was older, she worked in the local hospital kitchen. She came to Provo, UT, in 1951 and became a US citizen in 1956.
She loved to knit and sew for her family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Edward (Sherry) Johnson, and Sylvia (Richard) White. Her grandchildren and their spouses: Jessica (Steve) Landeros, Carl (Jodi) Bennett, John (Chelsey) Bennett, Ryan (Maggi) Johnson, Cole Johson, and Autumn Johnson. As well as her 10 great- grandchildren: Jaiden, Cason, Cooper, Enorah, Dash, Maxx, Elle, Axel, Price, and Aiden.
The family wishes to thank Applegate Hospice for making it possible for Angelika to pass peacefully at home, and to all her neighbors and friends for their love and support of her throughout the years.
A visitation will be held Thursday, February 21st, from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at the Heber Valley Funeral Home (288 N. Main Street, Heber City, Utah 84032), friends and family are welcome to attend. A graveside dedication will follow at the Heber City Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
