Allan Stephen Kinsey

August 23, 1939 — May 31, 2022

Allan Stephen (Zeb) Kinsey, 82, passed away May 31, 2022 in Midway, Utah at home. He was a sweet baby boy, born August 23, 1939 to Stephen John and Olive Brown Kinsey in the Heber Hospital.
He grew up in Midway, Utah, with his older sisters, Donna and Karma, and younger brother, Jim, next door to his Grandma Maggie Kinsey, working with his father on the family farm, near the Midway Fish Hatchery. As a boy he loved finding adventures as he was fishing, riding his horse Thunder, and working on the farm.
Allan attended school in Midway and Heber and was an outgoing student participating in student government, and athletics--football (where he held the line), track, and baseball--graduating in 1957 from Wasatch High School.
He then served his country in the United States Army during the Berlin Wall Crisis, receiving an honorable discharge in 1965. During this time he also attended school at Utah State University, and was always a proud Aggie. It was in Logan, that he met and began dating Myrna Lynne Palmer. They were married September 18, 1961, with their sealing in the Logan Utah temple.
After Allan graduated from USU, with a degree in Agricultural Science and Education, he then moved his small family back to Midway to rear their children and help his widowed mother. He began teaching, first for the Duchesne School District and later for the Park City School District. He changed professions working as a Heavy Equipment Operator, most of his career, for Staker Paving and Construction, building many roads, and overpasses all over Utah.
He enjoyed a love for all sports, coaching baseball and basketball, and supporting his kids and grandkids in their games. As an avid outdoorsman he could be found hunting deer and elk, fishing, 4-wheeling and farming. Most of all he loved time spent with his family which was always growing!
Allan and Myrna were blessed with seven children, David (Robyn) Kinsey, Midway UT; Terri (Hugh) Davis, Salem UT; Vicki (Dave) Erickson, Pleasant View, UT; Lynette (Joey) Wright, Heber City UT; Diane (J.R.) Coleman, Daniel, UT; Natalie (Mont) Mair, Heber City, UT; Lisa (Jason) Morris, Riverton, UT. They have 26 beautiful grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren and counting! He’s also survived by his brother, Jim (Darlene) Kinsey, Vernal UT; brother-in-law Bill Lefler, Midway, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters and brother-in-law, Marves and Donna Mahoney, and Karma Lefler.
