Adella "Mitzie" Marie Mcphie

Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Adella “Mitzie” Marie McPhie, surrounded by her loving family, returned to her Heavenly Father on September 29, 2017, after a valiant battle with breast cancer.

Mitzie was born Jan 7, 1938, in Maywood, CA, to Albert and Marie Kaser. She married her Sweetheart, Bob McPhie, on September 1, 1955, they were later Sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. She was an active member The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, serving in many callings including: Stake Relief Society President, Ward Relief Society President and Young Women’s President. She served as the first woman President of the Board of Directors for the Heber Valley Hospital, where she served over 5100 volunteer hours as a Pink Lady. Mitzie was a member, and recently made President, of the Shakespearean Book Club.

Together, Mitzie and Bob, served two Missions to Nauvoo, they were Citizens of the Year, active members of the Senior Citizens and played in the M&M Seniors Band. They were honored to be the 2017 Grand Marshals of the Wasatch County Fair.

Mitzie was preceded in death by her children Bart and Wendy, her parents Al and Marie Kaser and her in-laws Les and Maud McPhie. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Bob, children Robert L (Angie) McPhie, Bret L (Tammie) McPhie and Kristine Marie McPhie, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Mitzie has requested donations be made to The Horse of Many Colors Cancer Foundation at Zions Bank in Heber City.

Services will be held at the Heber East Stake Center, 2395 South Mill Road, Heber City. Viewing will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 5:30-8:00pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 11:00am with interment at the Heber City Cemetery.
