Our beloved dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, Rich Welch age 52, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 31, 2016. Rich was born on March 13, 1964 to Clarence and Kay Welch, he has one son and 3 grandchildren who were his pride and joy and the light of his life.
Rich loved the outdoors, he enjoyed being on the lake fishing, hunting in the mountains and his annual Pheasant Hunts with his best friend, Scott Moulton. Rich also loved camping, especially with his grandkids. He worked for the US Forest Service for 10 years as a Fire Engine Foreman and served on a Strike Team in many capacities from a Dozer boss, to a Helitack and Divisional boss. Rich recently worked as a Grader operator for Timberlakes and truly loved serving the people there for the last 7 years.
Rich is survived by his son Corey (Krista) Baker, his 3 grandchildren Taylor (Deidra), Jensyn and Mytchel Baker; his brother David Alan (Teri) Welch; two sisters Linda Kay (George) Muir, Carla Rae (Phil) North; many nieces and nephews and his two dogs Hurk and Scooby. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Kay Welch, Nephews Michael and Daniel North.
A Celebration of Rich’s life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 4:00 PM, followed by greeting the family and a dinner from 5:00-7:00 PM in the Cobblestone LDS Building located at 1661 East 980 South in Heber City UT.
