Mary M. Gallegos Johnson September 24, 1953 – November 8, 2020 Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on the evening of November 8, 2020, after a battle with Endocarditis. She was born on September 24, 1953 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Ignacio E. and Stella Gallegos. She graduated from North Sevier High School and found her love of art while attending Sevier Valley Tech where she received an Associate’s Degree in Commercial Art. At the age of 17, Marcie was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was then that she met her future husband, Darwin Johnson. They were married in the Provo Temple one year later, on June 30, 1972. Marcie and Darwin had three daughters. When their girls were all in school, she began her college education to purse a nursing degree. She graduated with a B.S.N. from Weber State University in 1988 and began working as an R.N. in various capacities. She went on to receive a M.S.N. from University of Phoenix in 1999. Marcie’s love for nursing allowed her to work for many years with the Wasatch County Hospital, Wasatch County Health Department, in various positions with Intermountain Health Care and later as an administrator for Davis County Health Department, where she retired in 2017. Those who knew Marcie, knew she loved her family, especially her grandkids. Mimi, Jagger, and Ethan, and Scout, Dane and Owen held a special place in her heart. She also loved the gospel, the many callings she held and serving in the temple. She loved serving others and helping her friends and neighbors. Marcie was preceded in death by her parents and six of her siblings. She is survived by her loving husband, her daughters and their spouses, and her grandchildren, along with five of her siblings. Due to current restrictions and precautions being taken in relation to COVID-19, a private gathering will take place for immediate family only. A celebration of Marcie’s life will be held at a later date when it is safe and appropriate for all friends and family to attend. Friends and family may visit the online guestbook and share a memory of Marcie at www.probstfamilyfunerals.com.
