January 24, 1956 - March 11, 2021
In Loving Memory Lisa was born to Easton Blake and Barbara Lee Hunt Blake on January 24, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She passed away surrounded by family on March 11, 2021. She grew up in the Bennion/Taylorsville Utah area. In her youth, Lisa enjoyed living throughout the nation as her dad built chapels for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, although the time spent in the Southern states was her favorite. She attended Ricks College and BYU. It was during that time that she met the love of her life, Gary Werner Moeller. They were sealed for Time and all Eternity on April 30, 1976 in the Salt Lake Temple. Her greatest desire in life was to become a mother. That desire was fulfilled when their first child, Annamarie, was born – followed by Anthony and then Melinda. They knew they wanted more children, however, it took some time and finally seven years later Micah came, followed by Marissa and finally Adam. Lisa absolutely loved being a Nana and spoiled her grandkids every chance she got – you could always find her at sporting events, ballroom competitions and any other occasion where she could support her children and grandchildren. Family was everything to Lisa whether it was past, present or future. Lisa was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had an unwavering testimony of the gospel and was always sharing it with friends and family, whether it was by service to others or fulfilling church callings. She served faithfully in the Primary, Young Women’s, Relief Society and as Ward Librarian (her favorite). Lisa loved to attend the Temple and was grateful for her knowledge of Eternal Families. Lisa loved music and enjoyed her time with the Midway Swiss Children’s Chorus as the Choir Director. She also enjoyed being a bell-ringer in the Midway Swiss Bell Ringers as well as singing in the Midway Swiss Chorus and various ward choirs. Her hobbies were cooking and baking, knitting slippers and baby booties and quilting, but she was best known for her pies. She loved to spill the beans to everyone that she was THE Mrs. Clause on the Heber Valley Train. Lisa was a great storyteller and was always sharing stories with others. Lisa is survived by: her loving husband Gary; Hannie (Gary's step-mother); children Annamarie (Eric) Spencer, G. Anthony (Kristie), Melinda, Micah (Heidi), Marissa (Brandon) Brown, Adam (Merri); and grandchildren Jayden (currently serving a mission in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania), Parker, Jaron, Mckenzie, Kaitlynn, Jace, Kooper, Mason, Kendyn, Blake, McKay, Aaron, Kennedy, Karson, Hunter, Tyson, Kayleb, and Hannah with one Grandson on the way; her siblings Gilbert (Joye), Lauralee “Lolly” (Glenn), Barlow (Kristy), Leslie (Ed), Lani (Ma’afu), Leeann (Ropate); and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Easton and Barbara, parents in-law Werner and Grace, and 3 beloved nephews; Daniel, Spencer and Bryce.
