Lynda K. Lindsay passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at her home in Heber, Utah.
Lynda was born May 30, 1964 in Provo, Utah to her parents Marilyn (Prior) Harris and the late David S. Harris. She was the 2nd of 4 children.
Lynda grew up in West Valley City, Utah and graduated from Granger High School in 1984, she was a member of the drill team.
Lynda began her working career at Sperry/Univac where she worked the production line and was promoted to the shipping/receiving department lead.
Lynda met the love of her life, Chris D. Lindsay at “The Other End” in 1984. Lynda and Chris were married in 1985 and spent 34 years together, until Chris passed away in October 2019. Lynda and Chris’s union produced 3 children, Teisha Lindsay, Kelli Lindsay, Cody (Tynell) Lindsay.
After their marriage, Lynda and Chris primarily lived in Chris’ hometown of Heber, Utah – in the very home that Chris grew up.
While living in Heber, Lynda’s work history included: Wasatch Silver Eagle, Maverik, 7 Eleven, Tractor Supply Co., BC Fine Foods, Snowflower, Bear Creek Foods.
Lynda loved listening to music, and God forbid if you interrupt her time sitting in the “love shack” listening to Dave and Deb in the morning on Z104.3 and drinking her coffee. Lynda was funny, compassionate, intense, supportive, empathetic, empathic (even psychic), and in a state of motion (mentally or physically) for most of her life. Lynda’s love and loyalty to her family was a force to be reckoned with, her commitment of helping you through any type of hard time was one of her biggest strengths. Most who think of Lynda will reflect upon her big heart, her compassion, her stepping up to support you in times of need. Lynda also had a strong connection to nature. She loved butterflies, hummingbirds and her sunflowers! She would boast that she grew the biggest brightest ones in her neighborhood.
Lynda loved riding through the mountains and hills all around Wasatch County and most who knew her – heard (whether they wanted to or not) where her and Chris “did the laundry” in the wilderness.
Lynda’s health had taken a downward turn over the past few years and she reminisced about people she misses. Recently she shared many dreams of her visiting with loved ones who preceded her in death, her husband Chris Lindsay, her dad David Harris, her mother-in-law Tunney Lindsay, her brother Steve Harris, her niece Allison, Aunt Barbara Haynie, her cousin Heather Whetzel, Aunt Vicki Whetzel are the ones we can think of offhand – which now in hindsight may have been an indicator that her time with us was coming to an end.
Lynda will be incredibly missed, she was the matriarch of her family and will leave an empty hole in the hearts of her kids, grandkids and soon to be great grandchild.
Lynda is survived by her mom, Marilyn Harris, brother, Richard Harris, sister Ginny Harris, children (mentioned above) and her grandchildren, Anthony, Damien, Gabe, Natalie, Matteo, Neveah, Codis, Michael, Jorrell, Kylie and she was looking forward to her first great grandchild (due date October 2025) who we assume Lynda has now met first and will prep them for their entry into the fam.
Special thanks to her providers, particularly Kathleen Thomas who not only cared for Lynda’s health but played an instrumental role in encouraging her and supporting her on her life’s journey.
There will be a celebration for life at a later date.
