Shantelle Flynn

September 16, 1983 — October 26, 2021

Shantelle Flynn passed from this life on October 26, 2021. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family at Utah Valley Hospital.

Shantelle was born on September 16, 1983 in Heber City, Utah to Becky Bonner Chipley and Steve G. Moulton. Shantelle married the love of her life, John Flynn, on October 26, 2013. Seeing her opportunity to expand the family. . . she pulled off one of her greatest stunts when she convinced John to get a dog. A Mastiff named Opie. Shantelle shared her love of Disneyland with John, and as a couple enjoyed traveling. Some of their favorites included cruises and Las Vegas. Date night was a weekly event and a big deal to both of them. Shantelle loved to have birthday weeks, so that they could celebrate each other a little longer.

Shantelle had many passions, but none greater than her family. She was blessed with a large family that loved and adored her. She had a special way of making each person feel like they were her top priority. Especially important to her was the everlasting bond she shared with her Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Wayne Bonner.

Shantelle was the life of the party. Her contagious laugh and infectious humor taught us that life is meant to be enjoyed.

Shantelle graduated from Wasatch High School in 2002. In her early years, she could be found hanging out and working at the Timp Freeze. Here, she continued developing her love of her childhood whimsy. Her favorite joy came from spooking Irean and the rest of the family she created there. As she transitioned to the Blue Boar Inn, her antics escalated. Breaking a few rules, and maybe a few plates as well. . .
She loved serving her community through the Heber City Justice Courts, where she connected with those who shared her love of bringing the lighter side of life to their work environment each day. None more special than her “War Buddy” - Dorthy Giles
Her most recent and beloved role was with Wasatch County in the Human Resources Department. Shantelle met her match for quick wit and humor in her boss, Dave Rowley who she admired immensely.

Shantelle is survived by her loving husband John Flynn, her loyal companion Opie, Mother: Becky Bonner Chipley, Father: Steve (Charice) Moulton, Brothers: Holden Chipley, Hayden Chipley, Spencer (Joanna) Moulton. Sisters: Christy (Kelley) Johnson, Morgan (Kevin) Meier, Grand Parents: Wayne and Shirley Bonner. Her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who she loved and treated like, fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters.

Preceded in death by: Grandparents Dean and Glenna Moulton, Father Marty Chipley, Cousin Chance Bonner.
