Fay Wrathall

December 29, 1948 — July 8, 2017

Fay Wrathall born December 29,1948 in Barrhead, Alberta, Canada to a loving father and mother, Harmen and Johanna van Bruggen. She passed away on Saturday July 8th, 2017 at her home in Heber City, Utah surrounded in the loving embrace of her Husband, Children, and Grandchildren. “Family” was truly the center of Fay’s life and her family rallied around her in a final and valiant struggle with cancer. If the measure of a life is the number of people touched by one’s kindness, Fay was truly a champion. For not only did she treat her own family and those who she loved with kindness, she extended herself to those who she had just met, or were simply one time guests at her dinner table. No one was ever turned back from a meal with Fay although her children often tested her with a horde of unannounced guests. Her house, like her heart, was open to all and her faith in others was unwavering in the face of any obstacle or challenge. Fay also had a deep personal faith and foundation in the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served diligently throughout the years. Some of that service included; Primary President, Relief Society President and Regional Young Adult Advisor with her husband. Her strength of character, openness, and loving way was an example to her children, her grandchildren, and all those she met along the way. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Tom Wrathall and her children, Chris Wrathall (Jodi), Julie Alvarez (Matias), Jennifer Billingsley (Brian), Amy-Jo Wrathall (Jimmy Bell), Spencer Wrathall (Traci), Robbie Wrathall and 13 grandchildren. Her loving embrace, thoughtful insights and gleaming smile will be missed for the short time that we are separated from her.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in the Heber 9th Ward LDS Chapel (325 East, 500 North, Heber City).
